This is a normal part of our community service for students and Graduates Club members.

If you have a manuscript, report, document etc which YOU have taken as far towards being free of spelling and grammar errors as you can, ask for help. Don’t release something with careless errors in it.

RULES

No money is charged for this service. We’re helping one another.

Establish a deadline for delivery, and honour it.

It is not the proofreader’s job to rewrite the text. Make suggestions, ask questions (have you considered …) etc.

The Author will consider your suggestions, comments etc and will decide to make the changes, or not.

The Author will send you a nice TESTIMONIAL which you can use in your flyer, business card, website, Facebook page, blog etc. (Every student should collect a handful of testimonials by the time they graduate.)

The Author will mention everyone who contributed as a proofreader/editor at the tail end of their manuscript (if appropriate).

If the manuscript is destined for http://www.amazon.com the author will put their work up for $1 for two weeks, and will advise contributors by email, and the NZIBS community on Student Forum, where to find it. List the URL.

This is so contributors and our student community can BUY the book on Amazon and write a REVIEW.

NB: Only people who have bought the book may post a review on Amazon. Hence the $1 cost. The author may change the selling price at any time. Two weeks at $1 gives everyone enough time to get their reviews posted.

NB: The more five star reviews a book gets on Amazon, the BETTER.

We are fortunate to have this facility. Use it.

Tip: If you have written 3-4-5 short stories which are JUST SITTING IN YOUR FILE, consider using this service and get your first book published. It’s not difficult.
