Unnecessary Instructions – Use them as a Stimulus.
On the brown paper wrapper of my latest block of soap there are instructions for use:
“Lather onto wet skin with circular motion. Rinse well and dry.”
Do we really need all the instructions products now come with?
Maybe you would like to write a poem mimicking some of these unnecessary instructions.
How to put your shoes on.
How to catch a ball.
How to hang a sheet on the line.
How to fall asleep.
Or try something much more difficult:
How to surf.
How to ride a bike.
How to find a bargain in a second hand shop.
How to read.
How to stay calm.
Keep it short, with one or two interesting observations in there.
