    Hi

On page 32 of Tutorial 9, there is an example of how to centre headings.  The table has two headings to be centred but the instruction is only written once in the margin.  Therefore, if more than one correction is needed but it is the same type of correction and in the same line, is the instruction still only noted just the once in the margin (as shown in the example)?

    Hi Denise,

Both the headings are circled so the (centre)/ command in the margin applies to both entries.

    Hope this clarifies.

    Kind regards,

    Atholl

    Hi Denise,

Make sure any margin instruction is clear to the typesetter if there is any potential confusion, e.g. centre all headings.

In general, any incorrect text in the same line of text but separated by correct text, should have a corresponding margin mark. This is obvious in the case of different types of error but if there are similar errors, such as lower case initial letters  instead of capitals then ‘caps x 3’ might be appropriate as long as all three errors have an appropriate text mark to indicate what needs to be changed.
