    On page 39 of tutorial 11 an example is given of an invoice and it states that GST is not included. However, for the assignment, when I added a similar statement to my sample invoice, the feedback I received was that it would be best not to mention anything about GST (if not registered). I am a little confused by this.

    Hi Denise,

    the tutorials have to cover a wide range of possibilities and career developments, also GST arrangements can change. However, if you have a query about a tutor’s comment it is best to contact that tutor directly, via NZIBS admin, and ask for more clarification. That is not to say that you shouldn’t post a more general query about graduates’ experiences and choice of wording around GST  issues.

    Advice from IR – if you are not GST registered, you are not collecting GST for the government and should not mention it in your invoice at all.
