There’s a great one in central Auckland called Dominion Books and its at 230 Jervois Rd, Herne Bay, Auckland.  Heather is the expert there and you’ll find her behind her pile of books at her front desk inside the front window of her shop.  I’ve found all sorts of treasures among the shelves and if I haven’t been able to find something then she has known exactly where to find it.  Pop in a see her next time you’re near here.

Does anyone know of and can recommend such a place in Christchurch? Auckland is a wee bit far for second hand books. 😀

Here we go.  My cousin Karen recommends the Chertsey Book Barn.  She lives in rural Rakaia, South Canterbury and she says it’s about 10 km away from her place. While I think of it, there’s a great bookshop in Whangarei too.  Who could possibly go past a bookshop called “The Piggery”?     Perhaps a few other students have their favourites they’ve be happy to share.
