How to write a club newsletter

    By Brian Morris

First, find a group which wants a newsletter, (with outsource help from Anthony . This can be any bunch of people (scrabble players, young mothers or bus commuters) who want to communicate. With email, the members can be worldwide.

Next you volunteer to do the first five issues. Once you’ve started, look for your own replacement. Or offer to continue for a fee per issue. You become a professional newsletter creator.

Step 3 is to gather samples of other newsletters. Pick a style you like and use that as your template. MS WORD has 42 designs as free templates. Pick one and fill in the spaces.

I do a 12 page Jobs & Events & Competitions newsletter for NZIBS students and graduates. Recent editions are here:  https://nzibs.co.nz/index.php?page=newsletter    Enjoy. If you want to learn more, just call me and ask. 0800-801994. Brian Morris.   þ
