    I’ve just go hold of a new book called <i>Sorted</i>. It’s great fun – a collection of lists of quirky ridiculous and little-known facts, mostly about New Zealand.

    I pass on to you (with permission from the author) some items in the chapter called Crimes Against Language.

    1. Crime: between you and I, he always knew what he was doing.

    Correction: Between you and <b>me, </b>he always knew what he was doing.

    2. Crime:The way he played off one against the other couldn’t of been more shrewd.

    Correction: The way he played off one against the other couldn’t <b>have</b>been more shrewd.

    3.Crime: Less people voted in the last election.

    Correction: <b>Fewer </b>people voted in the last election.

    4. Crime: As he watched, his heart sunk.

    Correction: As he watched, his heart <b>sank.</b>

    5. Crime: I’m amazed by the amount of people who remained loyal.

    Correction: I’m amazed by the <b>number </b>of people who remained loyal.
