NZQA Accreditation
The Institute has subscribed to NZQA since October 1996. However, times and needs change. We no longer feel the need to pay a significant levy to have civil servants tell us we are doing a good job looking after our students. That is basically why we opted out of NZQA on 23 August 2010.
NZQA Quality Audit Objectives
The audit aimed to obtain reasonable assurance that New Zealand Institute of Business Studies (NZIBS) is a sound and stable provider, has effective quality management systems in place, and is substantially achieving its goals and objectives as required by Quality Assurance Standard for PTEs, GTEs and Wananga (QA Standard One).
Achievement of goals and objectives
NZIBS uses the performance indicators in its QMS to report against the achievement of goals and objectives, and to set new long- and short-term goals. The organisation updates its goals, objectives and performance indicators through an internal quality review. Feedback from student surveys shows a high level of satisfaction with the programmes on offer.
Closing statement
NZIBS has met all requirements of QA Standard One. The organisation has demonstrated that it is committed to providing a distance-learning programme that meets the needs of students. The organisation’s teaching effectiveness is demonstrated by the success of its programmes, the feedback collected, and the care in which the staff and tutors support students.
